Our Senior Management Team consists of:

Guy Liddall - Managing Director

A graduate in Law and French, Guy has some 29 years experience in the motor industry. Having initially worked in franchise and manufacturer environments, he has spent the last 20 years specialising in specialist recruitment for the motor sector. He has developed the ‘Broad Spectrum Job Profiling’ tool to enable benchmarking of remuneration packages across the sector. In recent years, Guy has become and expert in technological marketing and on-line candidate handling. More recently he has qualified as a professional mediator, gaining a Distinction in his qualification with the PMA and we are now able to offer this service to all of our clients with confidence.

Cathy Norton - Director of BackupHR

Cathy has worked in Personnel and Human Resources Management for over twenty-five years after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management after graduating from St .Andrews University. Cathy has worked in both the private and voluntary sectors in a range of different HR operational management roles before becoming an HR Consultant in 2000.

Cathy has extensive practical experience in developing within organisations a positive health and safety culture through the implementation of sensible policies, working practices and two-way communication systems. She is a Corporate Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, IOSH, and is also registered on the Government's Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register, OSHCR. More recently Cathy completed a Masters Degree in Employment Law, which also included safety as one of her main topics.

Cathy joined MTS in January 2007 and is responsible for setting up and managing BackupHR business for our clients.

Chris Carey - Relationship Director

Primarily an automotive industry specialist, over a career spanning 40 years Chris has operated in large plc’s and a private company with a number of franchises ranging from volume to luxury brands and heavy trucks/LCV. During his time he ran dealerships closely associated with a manufacturer and sat on a number of franchise strategy groups.

He has worked in a number of locations, comprising of large provincial towns, major conurbations including central London. Several businesses under his control achieved national Dealer of the Year Awards in their respective franchises and recognition in other national awards. More recently he has spent time in an advisory capacity with a large firm of Accountants and is a member of the Institute of Marketing.

Peter Stanway - Senior Consultant

Peter commenced his career after completing a law degree in 1978 and has spent much of his career in food manufacturing, although he has also worked in retail, engineering, distribution and professional services. He has covered all aspects of Human Resources Management, from practical, hands-on Management to over 7 years as a highly effective HR Consultant. While Peter has all the HR "generalist" skills necessary for effective consultancy, he has particular expertise in employment law (he gained a Distinction in his Masters). He has been successfully handling Employment Tribunals for 25 years, using his expertise in law together with his analytical and advocacy skills to consistently produce positive outcomes.

Jackie Bolton - Client Account Manager

Jackie is an experienced Administrator/PA, with the majority of her roles working for high level personnel, the last 15 years also incorporating HR and employment litigation. Jackie has hands-on experience of HR in business, having worked most recently as a PA/HR Administrator, thereby obtaining a practical working understanding of the HR environment and its potential issues/pitfalls for clients. Jackie has an extensive knowledge of the Microsoft packages, including creating databases, training others (including clients) on its use and helping clients/colleagues with the administration of HR systems and documentation.
