Induction is Important - Unfair Dismissals are Costly
Recruitment can be both expensive and time consuming but is squandered by poor or no induction. With the upcoming removal of the two-year service rule for unfair dismissal claims, it has never been more important to get it right. Join us to gain the skills to allow you to deliver your successful onboarding to retain your new starters.
The first few days, weeks and months are critical in determining whether people develop effectively, and quickly become either an asset or a liability. Equally, it is important that employees feel valued and want to actively contribute to the business. Little time, effort and thought is really given to planning and achieving a meaningful, structured programme of induction learning. This means that people do not work to their full potential as quickly as they could and/or they “leave” the organisation, meaning further costly recruitment.
This course will help Managers to plan and conduct meaningful onboarding programmes that go beyond the first week. We will identify what should be included, and how to regularly assess and constructively feedback to a new employee. Thereby they can become really productive, integrated and engaged by the end of their probationary period and thereby avoiding potential costly legal disputes.
The course will commence at 8.30 am, with registration and refreshments from 8.00 am, and will finish around 2.00 pm, with breaks for refreshments and lunch.
The cost for this course will be £175.00 plus VAT per delegate, including lunch. Preferential rates for clients and discounts for block bookings.
