About the Course
From October 2024, the Worker Protection Act places a clear duty on all employers to actively prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. The EHRC has issued detailed technical guidance alongside 8 key steps for compliance, but businesses are already finding that implementing these measures is far from straightforward. By the end of the course, you will not only understand the law, you will be equipped to demonstrate compliance, prevent harassment, and protect your business from costly disputes.
Why this course matters
Many employers are unsure how to translate the EHRC’s guidance into practical action. We have seen first-hand the common challenges:
Risk assessments that lack balance and detail
Uncertainty about what truly constitutes “harassment of a sexual nature”
Misunderstanding of terms such as victimisation
Lack of awareness of internal complaint procedures
Confusion over what counts as “in the course of employment” – especially with digital communication and work-related socialising
Left unaddressed, these gaps can expose businesses to serious legal, financial and reputational risks.
