Startup HR Toolkit

BackupHR are here to guide you at the point when you are ready to start employing people, which is a key stage in the development of your organisation… and then we can continue to support you as the business grows.


This package provides the following at a fixed fee of £825.00 + VAT

 

Through video conferencing, an exchange of emails and telephone calls:

  • Provision of user-friendly, legally compliant employment handbook, incorporating all the statutory policies needed

  • One template contract of employment, providing options for different types of employees (e.g. full time, part time)

  • Casual Statement of Engagement template (if required)

  • Provision of new starter offer letter, outlining the core terms of employment

 

Provision of a set of useful forms to assist with collating and recording of information:

  • Employment Details Form which incorporates all the necessary right to work checks

  • New Starter Induction Checklist to ensure all the essential documentation, practicalities and procedures are explained

  • Holiday/Time Off Booking Form to record any requested holiday or time off to attend personal appointments

  • Return to Work Checklist which needs to be completed when an employee returns from a period of sickness absence

  • Sickness Self-Certification Form which should be completed as part of any return to work meeting if not covered by a medical certificate (Fit Note)

 

Access to 2 hours of free advice from our team of Consultants, via email or telephone or the first 3 months.

 

Additionally

  • Regular updates and information on upcoming legislation changes in the form of client newsletters for a period of one year

  • Access to our bi-monthly free webinars that cover topical employment issues

  • Discounted places on our public training courses on people management skills run at venues within East Anglia (currently Norwich and Cambridge)

Ongoing HR Support
We understand that once you start employing people, whilst having the correct documentation in place is essential, issues may arise which will require you to seek professional advice. So, as well as providing the start-up package outlined above, we can offer ongoing support via two options:

 

Option 1

You could use our Adviceline service, and take advantage of our introductory first year discounted fixed fee rate of £600.00 + VAT. This would give you access to our team of HR Consultants who can provide advice in plain English, via the telephone, email or video-conferencing, together with providing guidance on producing any necessary letters or other supporting information.
 

Option 2

Additional support can be provided on an ad-hoc basis at a discounted hourly rate of £116.00 + VAT for a period on one year, which would be invoiced on a monthly basis (only invoiced when advice has been provided). This support could range from providing advice as outlined above, assisting with new starter contractual documentation through to attending site

When you are ready, BackupHR can undertake a review with you to ascertain if the business has grown sufficiently (i.e. number of employees etc.) to need a different level of support going forward. If so, we can provide a proposal for consideration, outlining proposed fees and a full-service level agreement showing what would be included within the new proposed service.
